Demi Lovato for Elle: Photoshop Hell or Evolving Mug?

I don’t know about you guys, but I think Demi Lovato looks, like, completely different. It isn’t because she put some much-needed weight on in the face, and it isn’t her makeup – I really think something this drastic can only be attributed to a blitzkrieg attack of Photoshop.
I know magazine photo editors want to ensure perfection when they run their issue, and i can understand having to adjust the exposure or the saturation of the photo, but completely changing someone’s face? I don’t get it. May well just put someone else entirely in the photo shoot for all it’s worth.
    Anyway.
From the interview, Demi Lovato on her problems with tourmate Alex Welch:
“I was completely out of line all summer. Just the worst attitude—totally ungrateful… I just felt like she’d betrayed me. That’s the bottom line. When you punch someone on a plane, enough is enough. Right after, I texted my mom and just said, ‘I’m sorry.’?”
On her breakup with Joe Jonas:
“I wouldn’t credit my meltdown to a guy. There was so much other stuff in my life.”
On being bullied as a child:
“Those girls never gave me an explanation for why they were bullying me. One of the words they called me was fat. At that age, you think, Oh, so I don’t have friends because I’m fat.”
On being pictured with cutting marks:
“I don’t think I would have been ready to talk about [my problems] then, but I could’ve come up with something better than gummy bracelets. Needless to say, that publicist is no longer with us… (pause). I mean, she’s alive.”

Demi Lovato to Elle: Enough Was Enough

"When you punch someone on a plane, enough is enough."
So says Demi Lovato in the latest issue of Elle, opening up about the confrontation with Alex Welch, a backup dancer on her tour last fall, that finally made Demi realize: Wow, I need help.

But the personal issues, later attributed to Bipolar Disorder, started much earlier than December, when the aforementioned incident took place.
"I was completely out of line all summer," Lovato says. "Just the worst attitude - totally ungrateful."
How much of a role did her split with Joe Jonas play in Demi's downfall and eventual treatment center stay? None, really, she says: "I wouldn't credit my meltdown to a guy. There was so much other stuff in my life."

    Demi Lovato Defends Anti-Drug Sticker

Demi Lovato had gossip blogs buzzing on Wednesday when she was spotted with a sticker on her phone that reads, "Heroin killed the radio star." While many were wondering what it meant, the singer/actress took to Twitter to clarify it all.
"I've had the same sticker encouraging sobriety in a cool way for over a month now," she wrote. "No other reason than to inspire a younger generation to stay sober rather than falling into peer pressure and bad habits like so many have. #relax #soberissexy."
The sticker was designed by the clothing and accessories line Sober Is Sexy, and proceeds from sales of the line go to various substance-abuse programs. A new program is picked biannually by the company, which also sells T-shirts, tote bags, and various other clothing and accessory items with anti-drug messages.
Lovato recently sat down with Elle magazine for their September issue and opened up about the events that led to her seeking treatment last fall. "I was completely out of line all summer," she recalled of the time she had been on the road with the Jonas Brothers. "Just the worst attitude — totally ungrateful."
Before hitting the road, she had been dating Jonas. The couple split, but Lovato doesn't place the sole blame for her attitude on the breakup. "I wouldn't credit my meltdown to a guy," she said. "There was so much other stuff in my life."
A widely publicized encounter with her backup dancer Alex Welch also was one of the big factors that led Lovato to realize she needed help. "I just felt like she betrayed me," she said of their physical altercation. "That's the bottom line."
Long before Lovato received treatment, the star had people concerned about her health. When she appeared at an event with scratches on her wrists, a publicist came up with an excuse for her behavior. "I don't think I would have been ready to talk about [my problems] then, but I could've come up with something better than gummy bracelets," Lovato said in the interview. "Needless to say, that publicist is no longer with us ... I mean, she's alive. ..."
Lovato reportedly received treatment for cutting, eating disorders and bipolar disorder.
Now, she's focused on her career, which includes a new album due in September and a new hit single, "Skyscraper." "I doubled over," she said of recording the emotional track. "Tears streaming down my face. It was a sight to see."
